Job Summary

The IT Network Administrator – Projects is responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting network infrastructure solutions across various project initiatives. This role focuses on ensuring the security, reliability, and performance of enterprise networks, with expertise in Palo Alto and Cisco firewall technologies, Cisco Catalyst switches, DNA Center, wireless solutions, and Web Application Firewalls (WAF). 

Key Responsibility Areas

 
  • Design, deploy, and maintain secure network infrastructures for project-based initiatives.
  • Configure and manage Palo Alto Firewalls to enforce security policies and protect against threats.
  • Administer and troubleshoot Cisco Firewalls and Cisco Catalyst Switches to ensure optimal performance and availability.
  • Implement and support Cisco DNA Center solutions for network automation, monitoring, and analytics.
  • Manage Cisco Wireless networks, including deployment, configuration, troubleshooting, and performance optimization.
  • Deploy, configure, and monitor Web Application Firewalls (WAFs) to secure web applications and services.
  • Collaborate with project teams to gather network requirements and deliver tailored solutions.
  • Maintain network documentation, diagrams, and asset inventories for deployed solutions.
  • Provide technical support, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis for network-related issues throughout project lifecycles.
  • Stay current with emerging technologies and industry best practices in enterprise networking and cybersecurity.

Key Skills

  • Palo Alto Firewall: Advanced configuration, security policy management, threat prevention, and troubleshooting.
  • Cisco Firewalls: Hands-on experience with ASA, Firepower, and Cisco security solutions.
  • Cisco Catalyst Switches: Expertise in Layer 2/3 switching, VLANs, STP, and port security.
  • Cisco DNA Center: Knowledge of network automation, assurance, and analytics.
  • Cisco Wireless: Enterprise wireless design, deployment, and management.
  • Web Application Firewall (WAF): Deployment and administration of WAF solutions for application security.
  • Networking: Strong understanding of TCP/IP, OSPF, EIGRP, BGP, OT protocols, and network troubleshooting.
  • Operations & Security: Experience with network monitoring, logging, and incident response.
  • Professional Skills: Strong problem-solving, communication, and documentation abilities.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • BE/B.Tech (Computer Science, IT, Electronics, or equivalent) with 8–10 years of experience in Windows and Linux server administration.
  • 3+ years of enterprise network administration experience with a strong focus on project delivery.
  • Hands-on experience with Cisco networking, firewalls, Cisco ISE, load balancers, and cloud networking.
  • Working knowledge of Windows and Linux server environments.
  • Manufacturing industry experience with exposure to production-critical systems and data recovery processes.
  • Understanding of RPO, RTO, and Business Continuity Planning (BCP).
  • Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
  • Relevant certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, PCNSA, or PCNSE are preferred.
