Purpose of the Role

The DGM – CFO’s Office is a high-impact role at the heart of the CFO Office, driving enterprise-wide initiatives and supporting the execution of critical finance priorities. This position offers a front-row seat to decision-making, working closely with senior leadership across the executive committee and the CEO Office. Designed for high-potential talent, it combines strategic thinking, executive communication, and hands-on execution to shape outcomes and strengthen the effectiveness of the finance function at scale. 

Key Responsibility Areas

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities 

• Shape and drive the CFO agenda: Partner closely with the CFO’s Chief of Staff to design and deliver on the CFO Office mandate—translating strategic priorities into structured, executable initiatives that materially enhance the effectiveness and perception of the finance function. 
• Lead high-impact transformation initiatives: Independently own and execute critical cross-functional programs aimed at strengthening finance’s role as a strategic partner to the business, driving measurable change across processes, governance, and stakeholder engagement. 
• Operate at the intersection of finance and business strategy: Provide analysis and execution support on critical topics including strategic planning, and special projects, often operating in ambiguous, fast-evolving environments. Synthesize financial data, business performance, and strategic context to generate actionable insights that inform senior leadership decision-making. 
• Craft compelling executive narratives: Develop best-in-class, board-ready and CXO-level communication—combining analytical depth with crisp storytelling to influence outcomes at the highest levels of the organization. 
• Partner with senior stakeholders: Work closely with ExCom, CEO Office, and functional leaders to align on priorities, challenge thinking, and drive forward key strategic initiatives with speed and rigor. 
• Embed execution discipline and governance: Establish robust tracking mechanisms, drive accountability across stakeholders, and ensure seamless execution and closure of strategic initiatives. 

Knowledge, Skills and Experience 

• Strong finance and business acumen: Deep understanding of financial concepts, with the ability to connect numbers to underlying business drivers and strategic outcomes 
• Outstanding communication and storytelling: Demonstrated ability to distill complex analyses into clear, insightful, and visually compelling narratives tailored for CXO and board audiences. Experience delivering board decks and leadership reporting, 
• Proven ability to drive outcomes: Track record of leading and delivering high-impact initiatives end-to-end, with a strong bias for action and results. 
• Structured problem-solving capability: Ability to navigate ambiguity, break down complex problems, and develop pragmatic, high-quality solutions. 
• Stakeholder influence and collaboration: Experience working across functions and seniority levels, with the ability to build credibility and drive alignment without formal authority. 
• High ownership and resilience: Self-starter mindset with strong accountability, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment. Experience supporting CFO / CEO office, and strategic initiatives 
• 8–12 years of experience in CFO’s Office / FP&A / Strategy / Consulting / Founder’s Office 
• Experience in strategic/transformation programs with senior leadership engagement or high growth/complex corporate environments

Role Specific Qualifications/Certifications 

• MBA (Finance or Strategy) from Tier 1 preferred 
• CA/ CFA or equivalent finance certification is an added advantage 
• Hand-on skills with Advanced Excel & Power BI and ad-hoc dashboarding for leadership 
• Top notch Presentation skills : Understanding of Pyramid Principle, data storytelling and Consulting style presentations 
• Advanced financial modelling and analytical capability
