What you’ll do…
This is a rare chance to sit at the right hand of our COO as we move from building a factory to running one. You’ll be the glue that holds a fast-growing operations organisation together, turning big ideas into real projects and giving a busy leader the space to focus on what matters most.
Structure and organise the COO’s leadership team, getting the right rhythm, communication and objectives flowing through a wide and varied organisation.
Take strategic initiatives from a rough idea through to funded, board-approved projects, then hand them to delivery teams to run.
Be the eyes, ears and heartbeat of the team, spotting the gaps, driving internal communications and keeping people connected across the UK, India and beyond.
Who we are...
Agratas is a wholly owned subsidiary of Tata Sons. We design, develop and manufacture high-quality, high-performance, sustainable batteries for the mobility and energy sectors. We are a scale-up business with a start-up mentality and the backing of a well-established parent company. The UK business headquarters is in the Midlands and we are currently building a battery manufacturing facility in Bridgwater, Somerset. Our first customers are Jaguar Land Rover and Tata Motors.
The team you’ll join…
You’ll work directly alongside our Chief Operating Officer and his senior leadership team as we industrialise our first major operations in Somerset and India. It’s a broad, fast-moving remit where no two days look the same, sitting at the centre of everything from skills and industrialisation to future process initiatives and new technologies.
What you’ll bring…
Real, hands-on experience of scale-up or greenfield manufacturing, ideally in battery or automotive, where you’ve seen an operation grow from the ground up.
A track record of working closely with senior leaders, comfortable challenging and shaping decisions at that level.
Strong project or programme management experience, ideally having helped set up a programme management office, paired with a commercial or strategic mindset.
The ability to speak both languages, translating comfortably between process engineers and the boardroom.
Flexibility to travel internationally and thrive in a role that is broad, ambiguous and anything but a nine to five.
What you’ll get…
As a new company, our reward scheme is constantly evolving. We continue to review the market to deliver a competitive benefits package, which currently includes company bonus, additional cash allowances, private healthcare and enhanced parental leave policy. We are committed to promoting work-life balance, partnering with Yulife to provide our team members with total wellbeing support.
You’ll work in a rapidly scaling-up environment as a subsidiary of the multinational corporation, Tata Sons, to help build the UK’s biggest battery manufacturing facility and make your mark in a new organisation.
