Purpose of the Role

As Facilities Contractor Management Lead, you will be responsible for managing and assuring the performance of our FM service providers, ensuring they deliver the services we've contracted them to provide and maintain the high standards expected across the business.

This is not a desk-based contract administration role. We're looking for someone who genuinely cares about workplace excellence and takes pride in creating great environments for employees and visitors. You'll spend time in operational areas, auditing services, engaging with stakeholders, reviewing performance data and working closely with contractors to ensure service levels are consistently achieved.

You will act as the key relationship manager for several Soft FM contracts, primarily focused on security, cleaning and catering, while also supporting services such as landscaping, office supplies and pest control. Working across both Somerset and Oxford, you'll use performance data, audits, customer feedback and commercial understanding to drive accountability, continuous improvement and exceptional service delivery.

What you'll do...

  • Lead the day-to-day management and performance assurance of Soft FM contractors across multiple UK locations.
  • Monitor contractor performance against KPIs, SLAs, contractual requirements and workplace standards.
  • Carry out audits, inspections, service reviews and quality assessments to ensure services are delivered as agreed.
  • Act as the primary relationship manager for key service providers including security, cleaning and catering.
  • Review performance data, identify trends and implement corrective actions where standards are not being met.
  • Challenge underperformance constructively and manage service recovery plans through to completion.
  • Validate service delivery against invoices, contract requirements and agreed scopes of work.
  • Support supplier review meetings, governance processes and performance reporting.
  • Gather feedback from stakeholders and site users to continuously improve workplace experience.
  • Support contract mobilisation, service changes and the introduction of new workplace services.
  • Work closely with Procurement, Finance, Facilities, Health & Safety and operational teams to ensure services remain compliant, efficient and fit for purpose.

What you'll bring...

We're looking for someone who has experience managing Facilities Management service providers from either a client-side or service-provider background. You may currently be managing cleaning, security, catering or workplace service contracts and understand what good service delivery looks like.

Most importantly, you'll be passionate about standards, have excellent attention to detail and be confident holding contractors accountable while maintaining strong working relationships.

You'll ideally bring:

  • Experience managing or overseeing Soft FM contracts within a corporate, manufacturing, industrial or multi-site environment.
  • Strong knowledge of service level agreements, KPIs, audits and contractor performance management.
  • Experience managing services such as cleaning, security, catering, workplace services or similar FM operations.
  • Excellent auditing and inspection skills with a fair, consistent and evidence-based approach.
  • Strong commercial awareness and understanding of how service contracts operate financially.
  • Experience identifying and resolving contract discrepancies and service performance issues.
  • The confidence to challenge suppliers, manage difficult conversations and drive improvement.
  • Strong organisational skills and exceptional attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Competence using Microsoft 365 and facilities or service management systems.
  • IWFM qualification, membership or equivalent experience would be advantageous.

What you'll get...

As a new company, our reward scheme is constantly evolving.
