First process equipment marks a new phase for Sanand

A significant milestone has been reached at our Sanand facility, in India, with the arrival of the first process equipment in E Zone, where key battery production processes and equipment will be installed and commissioned. This marks a defining moment in our journey towards operations, as we move from construction towards battery cell production.

With deliveries arriving regularly and the facility and warehouse steadily taking shape, the arrival of our first process equipment is a visible sign that our plans are becoming reality. Every subsequent delivery brings us another step closer to commencing our manufacturing journey.

Deepak Khare, our Vice President – Manufacturing Operations, said:

“I get a sense of accomplishment having been part of the team from the day one when we were acquiring the land. There is a great sense of accomplishment and appreciation when we look at the site and see how long we have come, right from when it was just a barren land to where we are today with the big infrastructure and equipment moving in. The entire journey has been very exciting.”

The next phase of work on site will focus on equipment installation, commissioning and operational readiness, bringing us one step closer to commencing our manufacturing journey.
