Purpose of the Role

We are looking for a senior Finance Business Partner to work closely with the IT, Digital and Technology leadership to drive financial planning, governance, investment evaluation, and decision support across enterprise technology initiatives.

This role sits at the intersection of the CFO office, IT leadership, and business stakeholders and requires a strong commercial mindset combined with a practical understanding of enterprise IT, manufacturing systems, and digital transformation investments.

The ideal candidate will act as a business owner for technology spends, not just a reporting partner—challenging assumptions, driving financial discipline, and enabling value-based investment decisions.

Key Responsibility Areas

Strategic Business Partnering

• Act as the primary finance partner to IT and Digital leadership teams.
• Partner with CIO / IT Heads to influence technology investment decisions, prioritization, and portfolio governance.
• Provide clear, actionable financial insights to senior leadership and the CFO office.

Financial Planning & Governance

• Own annual budgeting, quarterly forecasting, and long-range planning for IT and Digital functions.
• Drive governance around IT CAPEX and OPEX, ensuring spend discipline and value realization.
• Track and monitor run vs change technology spends.

Technology Investment & Analytics

• Evaluate enterprise technology investments including:
• Cloud vs on-premise infrastructure
• ERP and enterprise applications
• Digital transformation and automation programs
• Manufacturing technology platforms (MES, PLM, plant IT systems)
• Lead business case creation, ROI analysis, and investment approvals for IT initiatives.
• Develop financial models, dashboards, and analytics to track technology spend and benefits realization.

Cost Optimization & Commercial Management

• Drive IT cost optimization initiatives without compromising strategic outcomes.
• Partner with Procurement and IT teams on:
• Vendor negotiations
• Software licensing models
• Contract commercial evaluations

Stakeholder & Leadership Management

• Influence senior stakeholders through structured communication and storytelling.
• Challenge IT spend proposals constructively using data-backed insights.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Finance, Procurement, Strategy, Operations, and Technology teams.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

Must-Have

• CA / CMA / MBA Finance (Tier 1 / Tier 2 preferred).
• 16+ years of progressive finance experience with strong exposure to business partnering.
• Proven experience partnering with IT / Technology / Digital organizations.
• Experience managing large IT budgets in complex enterprise environments.
• Strong expertise in:
• FP&A, budgeting, forecasting
• Financial modelling & ROI analysis
• Cost governance & investment evaluation
• Solid understanding of:
• Cloud economics and infrastructure costs
• Enterprise applications & ERP ecosystems
• IT investment planning and governance frameworks
• Strong stakeholder management and executive communication skills.

Preferred

• Background in Manufacturing, Automotive, EV, Industrial or Engineering organizations.
• Exposure to manufacturing technology landscapes (MES, PLM, plant systems).
• Experience in large MNCs, GCCs, or global matrix environments.
• Ability to influence leadership and challenge decisions without authority.
• Strong people leadership and team-building capabilities.

Role Specific Qualifications/Certifications

• Strategic mindset with strong commercial acumen. 
• Comfort operating in ambiguity and scale-up environments.
• Ability to translate complex technology and financial data into leadership decisions.
• Experience supporting large-scale transformation or ERP programs is a strong plus.
